A French expression immediately comes to mind - "de pire en pire" - meaning from bad to worse.

Please remember our protestant brethren in your prayers.

Traditional Anglican ping, continued in memory of its founder Arlin Adams.

FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this moderately high-volume ping list (typically 3-7 pings/day).
This list is pinged by sionnsar and newheart.

what a shame! I spent a week in DC with a friend several years ago and the National Cathedral was my favorite site in the city. Such a gorgeous church! Can't say I'm surprised though, given all the other things we've seen come out of the ECUSA.

ECUSA does this lest there still be anyone out there who still doesn't understand that there is in this world The Church, made up of Particular Churches and then there are "ecclesial assemblies".

The Episcopal "Church" has became an embarrassment to the Anglican Communion and a disgrace to Christ's Church. This is what the Leftists have done to this once great Church and what they have planned for the rest including the RCC.

Are there any ideas as to what is behind the ECUSA's deliberate self-immolation?

Looks like the EPUSA is trying to keep up with the PCUSA. (They recently had a Presbytery meeting in California where they had readings from the Koran.

Great to see what John was speaking about is much clearer.

1 John 4;1-3 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-christ, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The service included readings from the Koran....

That's not news. After Sept. 11, the "National" Cathedral had a service that included an actual muslim imam in the pulpit, reading from the Quran!!

Word has in that Samuel Lloyd left a real mess behind him in his church in Boston. I, who am only an orthodox Lutheran layman after all, don't know the details. Can any knowledgeable Anglican (and perhaps Bostonian) Freeper fill us all in?

And why should a "National" cathedral be Episcopalian, anyway, especially with the current state of the ECUSA? A Serbian Orthodox national cathedral would do the nation's capital, and America as a whole, a lot more good!
