And it is not someting that God delights in. As Stedman said, it is his "strange work"
He himself says that he takes no delight in the death of men. He says that he does not delight in judgment. Judgment, the prophet says, is his strange work.
We can take comfort in that he is a God of love, yet we must also recognize that he is also a God of vengeance. God is Love, yet God does extract judgment. His judgments are pure.
Thank you for the post. I just finished listening to Dr. Chuck Missler regarding Isaiah and it is wonderful. Stedman is right on! Many people do not understand that we are, indeed, living in the end time, and the scripture is there for those "who have ears to hear."
Even God's anger, judgment, and vengeance are premised on His love. Therefore, the central aspect of God's character is upheld.
Make no mistake, though, God's love is the real deal. None of this mamby-pamby, hollywood, mealy-mouthed , vascillating uncertainty that today's world is so stuck on.
