Were you assuming ++Williams was friendly to the Orthodox/Conservative Anglican position?

If you were that was a big mistake. ++Williams has been on the side of the Liberals from the very beginning. He is only trying to hold on to the large numbers of Africans in order to maintain his world position for talks with the Vatican. If he looses these millions he becomes a nobody overnight.

I think Mark is on the money, N. ++Rowan's history is all liberal, all sycretist, all the way. Rome won't have anything to say to him, nor will Orthodoxy for that matter, if he is left as Archbishop of the "gay church" made up of the likes of the the Anglican Church of Canada and scattered "dioceses" of "Christa" or oak tree worshipping loons who consecrate fornicators and bless sinful practices and unions a la ECUSA.
