I have been trying to figure out just why this is so. After all Gay sex is a form of adultery. Among men it has much higher incidents of disease, while among women it has a lower rate of illness than Heterosexual behavior. Homosexuality has a lower incidence of pregnancy, no duh right. As a result a gay relationship does not involve the destruction to children in the form of broken homes and the usual stuff that were are doing to children. When Homosexuality does these things it is in a bisexual relationship. Compared to what Heterosexual couples are doing to children a couple of guys or gals doesn't seem so bad. All in all a mixed bag so why is the Bible so clear that this is so bad?

The only thing I can think of as the saving grace of heterosexual adultery is Life. There is always the potential of life. It is better to sin in a matter that has the potential of God to use the sin in a good manner. An example is King David and his fathering of Solomon. This also have a gender issue as well. Women and their pleasure in sex is not all that related to her life-giving ability. She can take no pleasure in it and still give life or she can enjoy herself completely and no life but the man is different.

This just may mean the man has greater responsibility for what he does. I remember someone once said man was given greater power in society because God was going to hold man more accountable. Perhaps the reference to "made in God's image" has a deeper meaning than it appears at first blush. I do not know but if this hold any water it makes contraception, masturbation and all other forms of sexual pleasure with out the possibility of life a sin. This would also help explain why Sodomy (all kinds) is a sin that cries up to Heaven.

Homosexual sex is inherently evil.

Heterosexual sex is only an evil if it is removed from its proper context - a true marriage.

Therefore when one performs an illicit heterosexual sex act one is not engaging in an objectively disordered activity, but a subjectively disordered one.

This is the way it could be presented from an Aristotelian-Thomistic viewpoint.

From a Scriptural viewpoint, sodomy is one of the four sins crying out to heaven for vengeance (along with premeditated murder, abuse of the helpless and vulnerable, and cheating workers out of their rightfully earned wages). Adultery and fornication are not.
