When, to the best of your knowledge, did Biblical scholars such as yourself FIRST begin to write, preach, or otherwise convey your "discovery" that Catholics had views about Mary that you considered to be heretical? I am simply interested in the history of this train of thought, what is the earliest specific source you are aware of? I don't know. It makes no difference to me the specifics of how Marianism was developed or the parallel string of complaints. I'm content to know what we have now and what is wrong with it. I certainly do see a pagan goddess aspect in what we have today though so the concepts predate Christianity.

I certainly do see a pagan goddess aspect in what we have today though so the concepts predate Christianity. How is that any different from saying that there is a "human sacrifice" aspect to the Crucifixion that predates Christianity. As for the history of the anti-Marian rhetoric, I have found no evidence of it prior to the mid-1800's when the Pope defined the Immaculate Conception, though it had been a part of Christianity for centuries (Luther firmly subscribed to it).
