Does McCarrick really wield that much power over the rest of the bishops? I'm not denying your connection of the dots. I'm just stunned by it. Do you have any other info to back this up or is it just an informed hunch?
There's a large number of homosexual bishops. Its mutual blackmail, mutual assured destruction. None of them will address the homosexual issue, none of them will break the silence, because it would take down too big a chunk of the USCCB. I'm sure Rome knows this but I suspect they've got problems within their own Curia to deal with.
