"give them what they want"
What they want is to be saved; to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ. That's what they were preordained to receive and therefore they are there at the irresistible urging of the Holy Spirit. The church, being salt, just makes it inviting and appetizing.

Giving them what they want should not include using any method to get them in the door.
If the methods being used are for example Pagan in origin or borrowed from some other for of Eastern Mysticism.
These method certainly were not given by God ,therefore there is a danger if some church uses them to beef up attendance.
I think that,s what Harley,s saying
I,m speaking in general, not just targeting the PDC/PDL movement in what I,m saying here, so don,t get riled up by it.

The Bible gives us countless example,s Of how to bring people to God,Its the best marketing book ever written, its the truest example of Man,s Psychology.
I guess some churches and people don,t think so,they think that quoting an example from the Bible will never bring people in the door or that we need NEW methods, the bigger the better!
Deep down what they are saying is the Bible is not good enough,Its mans ,s idea,s that will only work
Well then! I say maybe those people they are bringing in really don,t belong there because the effort to bring them there was not founded from the Bible ,it was founded by Man.
Little wonder some churches don,t Have the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Call me a fuddy duddy but I think Bible is the only tool that should be used to bring people into the Church.
There are plenty of successful Churches that do it right.
The music good the people are genuine and the Holy Spirit is there, and you can feel it.
And yes there are still staying sheep, but its easier to bring them back to the sheepfold when you strictly adhere to the Bible

"What they want is to be saved; to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ." How very un-Calvinistic of you bd. :O)
If they wanted to be saved don't you think God would saved them with or without our help?
