On another occasion he came to our house to celebrate Mass for the community. I was in the reception area and watched as his driver pulled up to the front door in a modest Fiat 500.

The Fiat 500 was Italy's response to Volkswagen's post WWII "Beetle", only smaller. These cars are most cherished in the larger Italian cities where parking is at a premium.
