In terms of preserving The Church, as far as I'm concerned, our new Holy Father's election is right up there with Jan Sobieski crushing the Muslim Turks at the gates of Vienna in 1683!

Outside of possibly Jeb Bush winning in 2008, I can't imagine anything more pissing-off North American liberals than today's election of His Holiness Benedict XVI!

Expect to now hear non-stop disingenuous whining from same as to how Cardinal Ratzinger will never fill the shoes of his suddenly (to them) Saintly predecessor ... right up until this year's World Youth Day which is already scheduled to be held in Germany and which now could well mark the begining of the re-Christianization of Western Europe!

The Good Lord truly does work in mysterious ways!

Just get ready for the counter-blow. You know how the enemy works...we have a victory for life, they find another way to attack. We had the Passion (boy and did that reveal some people's true colors!), they had Farenheit 9-11. We had the Swift Boat Vets and they tried Memogate. We busted Memogate, and they tried bbv...We give them Doplar ultrasounds, they kill Terri Schiavo....

If you're catholic, get out your rosary, but if you are Christian of any type, get on your knees and pray. This is but a beautiful moment in a long row to hoe. That particular row won't be fully hoed until Christ returns and takes the hoe our of our hands and tells us we have done well.
