This is truly a wonderful and blessed day! The Lord has given us a just and holy man to be our new Holy Father. Today let us pray for our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, that His Holiness may tend the flock with the Love of Christ and guide our souls closer to the Lord. May his reign be long and blessed. And may Peter, John Paul the Great, and all the Popes pray for our new Holy Father.

[P.S. Knitting: The Benedict-Benedictines-Olivetans reference with regards to Malachy's "Gloria Olivae" is certainly remarkable. Also note that on the 5th of this month, the Olive Tree party in Italy won in the primaries. Also didn't the Holy Father say he was a humble worker from a vineyard?]

Praise and give thanks to the Lord for this joyous day!
