She actually believes that the Church will view gay marriage as "a legitimate union of love."
Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor?
Anathema sit!!!
"My mother went to talk to them, to try to encourage them to hire blacks. WE HAD THEM FOR DINNER. I mean, it was a very open, liberal, enlightened atmosphere in which I grew up."
I didn't realise cannibalism was on the liberals' agenda as well!!!
Looks like a none, talks like a none - guess she probably is a none.
Remember the old '60s saying "never trust anyone over 30"? Well the whackos who coined that phrase are themselves now entering into their dotage. Sr. Susannah would have been 30 years old in the mid-60s and is, no doubt, one of those same '60s radicals who have grown older but not wiser. Caught in a time warp, she is still chasing that '60s mirage called "The Spirit of Vatican II", at least as she understands it.
A much better saying for today would be "never trust anyone over 60". For they are the 20-30 year olds of the '60s and '70s and are precisely the ones who sowed such confusion in the aftermath of Vatican II. Some, like Sr. Susannah, are still doing it.
Instead of self-important proclamations about "what I think the next Pope ought to do", why not zip it and pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance during the conclave and your own ability to humbly follow his teachings.
