The advice from the synod councils offered the Church Council a wide range of possible courses of action -- from keeping the church's current standards intact to making changes in the church's standards beyond the recommendations of the task force.

The only thing the ELCA got right was its name: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. A great name- but it hasn't lived up to it?

Evangelical?- Membership and churches have declined in the 15 year reign of the ELCA. Additionally, Missionary dollars declined to pay for a swelling domestic bureaucracy.

Lutheran- By adopting the CCM, the ELCA adopted an anti-Luther teaching- essentially rejecting the Preisthood of all believers.

Church- By adopting these proposals on sexuality, the ELCA will reject the very nature of GOD the Father, Jesus is Son and the Church- Christ's Bride.

America- Well, 1 out of 4 ain't bad
