Portuguese Cardinal Jose Saraiva Martins, head of the Vatican's office for sainthood, told reporters that "an attack against life is an attack against God, who is the author of life."
Thank you so much for posting these marvelous words. After the chill I got, they reminded me that when God took Terri's martyred soul into Heaven He will certainly not let her murder go unavenged.
Another Freeper has suggested that we all have it as our tag line for a while and I hope others will seriously consider it.
I'll pray to God that she is made a saint so that your tagline will be in line with church teaching.
I know at the grass roots level, people don't know any better and do it anyway.
I'm not being critical of you, just proceeding with caution. I hope we will get the correct guidance on it. This has been a living horror, and the news about the pope is grave which will take the public mind away from what has happened. My prayers are with him that he will improve.
I hope the Pope declares her a martyr, and COMPELS the diocese of the United States to celebrate her feast day every March 31st. The hatred of Christianity was manifest all over the media, in the interviews of Michael Schiavo over the past several years, and on the blogs, all over the op-ed pages. Maureen Dowd's column would be sufficient evidence that hatred of Christianity was behind Terri's murder.
