O Heavenly Father, Creator of all good things, we now pray for one of Your flock. Your creation of 41 years past, Terri Shindler-Shiavo, is now in a physical condition where she cannot accurately tell others what she wants and doesn't want. Although the sanctity of marriage has long been broken, her estranged husband who is her legal guardian, and the court system, want her to die; however, her blood family relatives want her to live. A "living will," or the claimed will of an incapacitated patient, is not the issue.
We know that the legal system in Florida and elsewhere is populated with many wolves in black sheep’s clothing. Men in black robes say that Terri should have the "right to die." They speak of death as a civil right. They control what will happen to her. Over 2,700 years ago, Your prophet Isaiah (5:20) warned "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil." Today, many people who bend and twist the law in Florida are now calling evil good, and good evil. They call ending a life by starvation "good," and attempts to save a life as "evil."
In America, O Lord, you have blessed us abundantly. Our Founding Fathers, most of them Christians, gave us laws that protected every human being with the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. America once protected people of all ages and condition, and considered all human life as sacred. But, Lord, no more. In America, many scoff at the very youngest in the womb, the unborn, as not being wanted, and thus abortion is rampant; some say that the very old can kill themselves; and, yet some claim that the infirmed, like Terri, has a right to die. Nearly half of all American voters think this way.
O Lord, we affirm that Thy will is perfect, and anything else we might choose for ourselves will be second best. Regardless if Terri lives or dies, we ask that her struggled existence and trial be worthwhile in Your plan, even if she is the sacrificial lamb that exposes evil liberalism in America that always departs from Your way. Let her struggle expose the moral crisis in America where pro-life conservatives battle pro-death liberals every day. Let her life mean something. In Your timing, let this land be healed. Let her true family members and friends be comforted in this trial. And let those who respect all human life be forever blessed.
We ask all of these things in Your precious Son's name, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Please, Lord, help and save Terri Schiavo. Please save our country.
I have been in constant prayer for the poor soul.

Give her this day her daily bread and deliver her from evil, Amen.
Prayers are the only thing that will help Terri, now.
"Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be strong, Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord". Psalm 27:14
