As I understand it, we are baptized with the Holy Spirit at the moment we believe. Water baptism is an outward sort of proclamation which happens afterwards, and is not required for salvation.
I used to debate with an AP everyday. He finally admitted that I was not a Christian because I couldn't speak in tongues and hadn't been baptised in the name of Jesus.
What passage(s) of scripture do you arrive at that conclusion. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong but I need scriptural references.
