A Pennsylvania priest who lived at a Catholic church in West Orange in December and January was charged yesterday with possession of child pornography in Monroe County, Pa.

The Rev. Virgil Bradley Tetherow, 40, of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton, Pa., allegedly downloaded images of child pornography onto a computer used by a secretary at the St. Ann's Catholic Church rectory in Tobyhanna, Pa., while visiting there in January, authorities said.

Tetherow, who lived at St. Ann's for most of 2004, admitted to the allegation, according to detective Kenneth Lanning of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police in an affidavit of probable cause filed in the case.

Tetherow began living and working at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Orange in December. He is a longtime friend of the new priest, the Rev. John Perricone.

You obviously don't know much about Wicken's chapel.

The worshipers there didn't want Perricone, Tetherow or anyone else from this stinky diocese. This was forseen before it happened.

You can have all the "indults" (or specially granted permissions to be literal) you like. Rotten trees produce rotten fruit.

Must be something about the TLM.

You think so?

Pope John Paul II offered the TLM, exclusively, for over twenty years.

The Chapel at West Orange has featured prominently on this message board in the past and I know that a number who attend it, read this forum and would have had dealings with this priest.

It was to alert them that I labeled it as I did.

You're right. I don't know much about the chapel.

Why do I need to?

I was simply commenting on your insinuation that this can all be laid at the door of the "NO"-whatever that means.

Incidentally, the concept of worshippers choosing their own leaders and pastors is something of a Protestant one.

In Catholic circles, it's a "top-down" system. The bishop sends his representative in the form of a priest.

He was held in high standing by Fr. Perricone

It is the opinion of many of those who had attended this chapel that Fr. Perricone himself was "foisted" on this chapel, just read any number of the previous threads.

Imputing poor intentions on the bishop's part is presumptuous and sinful.

Well, it's a good thing I made it clear I was speaking hypothetically.

more conspiracy theories

Can you believe it? How can anyone actually suspect conspiracy when all of our bishops are impeccable and beyond suspicion.

I deliberately avoided, and the thread does not contain, any gloating comments about a Tridentine Rite priest downloading child porn.

That's B.S.

Look at your title: "Pa. Police Accuse Priest of Downloading Child Porn (Tridentine/West Orange-alert)

You altered the title of the article to suit your mission.

Read my first words on this thread, #1.

Heads up to those of you involved with this parish. I know that some of you probably interacted with this guy.

Does that sound like I'm looking for trouble?

Judging the intentions of others seems to be a popular pastime amongst you guys.

You even do it the Pope. Why should I be immune?

You need to find some other way to spend your time instead of provoking division among Catholics.

My contributions to this forum have, as their constant theme, loyalty to the Holy Father.

If that's "provoking division", then I'll plead guilty.

You couldn't even explain what you mean by that.

I'd press for specifics.

You'd fail.

Does that sound like I'm looking for trouble?

I don't see anybody else altering titles with a "Novus Ordo" flag when yet an another homosexual priest is outed. Stephen Brady is a good example.

You even do it the Pope.

Give me an example when you make such an accusation. Otherwise, retract it.

"My contributions to this forum have, as their constant theme, loyalty to the Holy Father."

You know what, I deny that. I say that's not the truth.

What's more, I want you to be specific, and I want you to tell me exactly how you have done this, and what exactly you mean by loyalty to the Holy Father. Exactly what you mean; how you've fulfilled this.

When you're finished, I'd like to see you put forth how others have violated this loyalty.

Let me ask you for specifics.

Do you detect any other posts on this thread which you'd class as "divisive"?

Or mine only?

Questions were put to you:

I want you to be specific, and I want you to tell me exactly how you have done this, and what exactly you mean by loyalty to the Holy Father. Exactly what you mean; how you've fulfilled this.

When you're finished, I'd like to see you put forth how others have violated this loyalty.

No. If I let you ask, you'd be successfully dodging my questions.

And we can't have that, can we.

Let me ask you for specifics.

I've already asked you for specifics regarding this accusation of yours:

You even do it the Pope.
