It is kind of funny isn't it. God uses different approaches to lead people into his kingdom. I suspect that we should be prepared to choose which approach we use under different situations.

In this case when a killer has a gun pointed at your head and you have a infant daughter at home with a dead father and you'd really like to see that she is not orphaned, which approach would you say would work best in that situation:

A) "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life." or

B) "You are totally depraved."

I suspect everyone of us would choose "A" in that situation.

"A" Is presumptive. I don't personally know that God has a wonderful plan for any individual person's life.

B) "You are totally depraved."

It was the goodness of Christ being exhibited in her that convicted that guy of being totally depraved and in need of a Savior.

He certainly didn't conclude that he was a "good person" as popular pyschology and postmodernist thought concludes.

A) "God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life."

If God loves everyone equally, unconditionally and has a wonderful plan for everyone, then why does God send most to hell?
