I'd probably engaged him in a discussion on the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament to begin to establish a raport. LOL
They think it is since over six times in Revelations, up to the the fifth vial of the last judgment, they still blasphemed God rather than repent. So in the last judgment God says, "enough, you get what you think is best, it is done" (my paraphrase).
My alma mater (Cincy Bearcats) snuck in and have their hands full in the first round with Iowa. Iowa is an excellent team and the #7 & #10 seeds in this case are virtually even. I think there's a one point spread in favor of Cincy, but I seriously doubt it. They're entirely dependent on outside shooting, and if they're off, they have absolutely no inside game.
Doesn't sound like God loves everyone equally, unconditionally, does it?
I have picked Cincy to win that one. Iowa doesn't have a bench, lost too many players early and they can be rattled easily. Once thing cincy does have is the ability to run and gun. Iowa is more deliberate and prone to foul trouble. I like Cincy in that one.
Be prepared to change your pick at halftime if they're shooters are cold.
They don't have a big man, so the defense will sag in on our small forwards if the shooters don't need to be defended that closely.
When the outside is hot, then the inside is great....they're so athletic they can run away with a game. But if the outside is cold, they're not large enough to handle double-teaming.
Read later, bump.
Shooters can be cold for a half, then get hot the other half. With some it takes a while to get warmed up. If that scenario should happen, the biggest worry is that the lead not be more than 25 by Iowa.
So, you think that God loves everyone equally and unconditionally?
An important note to make here is, Love is not the same as Election, in a soteriological context.
I know the Cincy players. Great coach, Huggins, but he didn't have any great ones to work with this year.
These players are the opposite of Laodicea....they're either hot or cold.
You guys got a pool and you didn't invite me to contribute?
Perhaps you weren't aware of my losing streak, at least up to the time the Red Sox won.
"Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." There are a lot of concepts that we use loosely because of our creatureliness (how's that for a word?) that we are going to find out our definitions are more sentimental than God's.
From the link that you posted, I see that Zondervan and Harper Collins are owned by News Corp, the parent company of Fox News. Interesting turn of events.
The link I posted is a wacko site. You'd need a better source.
good thing you didn't play BB for Huggins or you likely would not have graduated. For that reason alone, i would never allow a kid of mine to play for him.
Huggins has an impressive graduation rate, and especially when you subtract those who are drafted, transferred, or kicked off the team for legal and/or team violations. None of those should count against Huggins.
Neither did Coach K at Duke, but he did one his best coaching jobs ever this year. Bob Huggins has too. Many think Cincy didn't stand much of a chance in conference play but his great coaching made the difference.

They could wear the slipper for a while, provided they are hot, or win an ugly one or two.

Glad to see you and my yankee relatives from Boston get that monkey off your backs, and you didn't have to sacrifice any goats to do it. :-)
A coach can't go to class for a player. His graduation rate is as good as the general student population's. I find it grossly unfair to expect student-athelete's graduations rates to be above those of the general student population.
