What a touching story. May the mother of God favor you always with her prayers.

While many Catholics are fine, upstanding people (and they have done a excellent job opposing abortion), the Roman Sect is ridden with liberal heresies.

What, like woman "priests"? openly gay clergy? artificial birth control? "prosperity" gospel? pro-abortion? pro-gay marriage?

You may have the Church confused with some other denomination.

Jesus is God and was in Mary's womb. Jesus grew up thinking of and referring to Mary as mother.

Mary is/was the mother of God. The fact that God existed before she was born is irrelevant.

The phrase "Mother of God" is even contained in the "Hail Mary." Strange that the phrase should bother you so.

Your points would be well taken if we spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Mary and ignored GOD. We don't.

Most of my prayers are to God the Father and God the Son but I also pray to the Blessed Virgin and the Holy Spirit, Daily.

>>>>>>Catholics would do well to remember that there was a thriving assembly of believers ordained by the Creator of the Universe 2,300 years before the abomination that Constantine the sun worshipper made the state religion of the Roman Empire. Ever hear of Abraham?

Movement by fools? Mary is the Mother of God. She was honored "among women", she was told by the angel that she is full of grace, and blessed. She carried in her womb the creator. All that gives her a place of honor in Christian's lives. If you like to think of her as a no body, go ahead. Do you think of Paul as a nobody? Paul did not even touch Christ, and most protestants hold on each letter he wrote.

As a catholic, I think you are full of it, and any priest who say such a thing is full of it too.

The Catholic definition of "The Immaculate Conception" is that MARY was conceived sinless. Did you know that?

Of course I believe that CHRIST was sinless in the womb, but not Mary.

I thought for years that the "Immaculate Conception" in Catholic circles referred to Jesus. I was floored when I realized that they actually meant Mary.

If you don't think the Catholic church is hated check this out...210 posts. I don't think the capture of Osama would get that many posts.

I never said a priest said it, I just said that I have ran across a number of Catholics who have said it. I then further clarified that that is not the official view, and that most of those who claimed that you need to pray to Mary to be saved were a bit odd.

The only priest that I heard say something close was Malachi Martin, and that was on the infamous Art Bell show.

So you think correction of false Mary doctrine is hate. Just like the libs. When you say that welfare is wrong they scream, "hate"!

Silly.

Thanks for your kind reply...the only thing that keeps me going regarding my son, is that I have the hope that I will see him again...without that hope, I dont think I could go on in this life...

If Mary was sinless, I would think the New Testament writers would have discussed such a phenomena...the only person in all of history to be sinless from conception other than Jesus.

But not a word. Be careful of extra-Biblical doctrines. You should take your doctrines from the Bible, not dream them up on your own.

The Bible was made for the benefit of the Church, not the other way around. The Church existed before the New Testament. How do you think they spread the Good News with the Bible as we know it?

Thank you for your kind reply....Bless you for helping someone during their time of illness...that leukemia is a nasty, nasty disease, and I just wish that someday a full cure for it would be found...

Especially, since I have seen not only my son suffer with leukemia, but have seen many other little ones hospitalized with him, going through the same torment with this disease...

Again, thanks...
