Is Virtue's "three months" a real deadline? In other words, is there embedded in here somewhere an at least implicit statement that if ECUSA and ACC don't change their ways, they're out, at least temporarily? I read the whole thing, and I can't tell.
I think they are 'out' now. (No pun intended, but if the shoe fits...) What I think the communique may well be saying in the midst of its well-learned politesse is that they have until Lambeth to demonstrate why they should be considered an ongoing part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
In rethinking this, it may be even more harsh than David Virtue's 'three months.'
