It's not a full-time job, though some people can pretend that it is. I learned a while back that I can't do everything, and what's more, God doesn't expect me to. His grace is sufficient for my weaknesses. He just wants to know that I am striving to be like Him, and I feel close to that when I, as you say, allow His love to work through me and I feel the Spirit. I have to manifest the desire to change; the amount of change isn't nearly as important.

Curious, did you ever read "Believing Christ" by Stephen Robinson during your sojourn in my denomination?

Nah, yanked my family out of there before that fad took over.

"His grace is sufficient for my weaknesses." Are we speaking the "grace" Paul defines in 2 Cor. 8:9, or Christianism grace?

Study Rod Parsley, the so-called televangalist. He had a heartbreaking problem that tore at his and his wife's soul. The Lord told them to sow a fantastic amount of money, which they didn't even have the tithe for.

They somehow raised the cash seed, sowed it, forsook the world's way which said they would just have to endure that problem the rest of their lives, and acted as if God would be true to His Word. Let you read the results.

I have a similar problem. I'll just say Tom Cruise, Dustin Hoffman, Oscars, 1980's...
