What confuses me is the Bible NEVER uses these tactics to get people to follow Christ or believe in God.

Can you point out in the Bible where "culture, education and experiences" are used by the Holy Spirit to get them to believe? I don't see it. I do see where legalism went by the wayside or if folks were earing meat BECAUSE they were leftovers from idol worship that was cautioned against but the fact is we can eat meat.

Maybe you can better explain what you mean?

Look at the four Gospels, all written by different men with different backgrounds, cultures, education and experiences. They include in their writings what they thought was important, as interpreted by their experiences, education and culture(See P-Marlowe's previous thread on Ezekiel) and to whom they were writing and the circumstances the recipients were undergoing as lead by the Holy Spirit. Paul's letters to the various churches, his oration on Mars Hill, and his various defenses at Jerusalem and before Felix, Festus and Agrippa are all based on his cultural experiences, education and his understanding as illuminated by the Holy Spirit.

They were not robots or recorders taking down dictation nor were the preachers. These were people moved by the Holy Spirit to write and speak the Word as it came to them by the Holy Spirit in their particular circumstances.
