I've never experienced a Priest giving me that kind of psychobabble in the Confessional, so I guess I'll consider myself lucky. But do you see how the reps of modernism want to continually lower the bar? You really can never set your bar low enough, they will always force you to set it lower. I don't about you, but I'm not in posession of BS buffers with that capacity.

"BS buffers" LOL!

Yes, the bar has constantly been lowered. I remember the days when Catholics who wanted to receive Communion on Sunday went to Confession on Saturday. I know, I know. I have heard about the "laundry lists of sins." But what I was hearing a few years ago, not so much anymore at my more conservative parish, was that it is almost impossible to commit a mortal sin. Forgiveness comes from the Act of Contrition during the Mass or even by receiving Communion. Since it's almost impossible to commit a mortal sin, why bother going to Confession ever, unless you have murdered someone or committed adultery?

I know that those priests and bishops who care wonder why folks don't go to Confession anymore. The reason is the wishy-washy modernist teaching that's being shoveled out to Catholics.
