There is no need for any response more personal than that of a priest to an anonymous penitent. The kind of attention you would prefer is wholly unreasonable, given the number of confessions some priests are obliged to hear. It would drain the life's-blood out of any good confessor.
Uh oh. You and everybody know who has been in it long enough that some get preferential treatment from priests inside and outside the confessional.
My only point was that the penitent, in the confessional, should be treated with dignity, individuality, attentiveness and not like a sheep with a tag in its ear on its way to the slaughterhouse.
Look, you sob, I am going through a major depression. Thank God in heaven that I got a priest who was understanding and did treat me as an individual, with respect, individuality and attentiveness.
You mean-spirited sob's who only care about forms and rules are a disgrace to the church.
