Something about this survey just doesn't seem right. I didn't read the original article, but are we to believe that only a little more than 7 percent of women aren't using birth control? Why, I'd think more than that were actively hoping to conceive!
I also don't believe this business about the pill being the birth control method of choice. I personally know a good number of women who on an instinctive level don't believe it's right to play around with hormones. Don't we all know somebody whose blood pressure or weight went through the roof after a brief stint on the pill?
As my wife (a pro-life NFP-using Catholic M.D.) says, "If the Pill had nothing to do with sex, it would have been taken off the market years ago."
Far more people have died from BCPs than have died from Vioxx.
