Got this today via Email. Is this crap or what?

1. Urge FDA to Improve Emergency Contraception Access
Act today: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20613

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has until tomorrow,
January 20 to decide to allow over-the-counter sales of
the morning-after pill, Plan B®. We've been here before:
last year, Care2 members sent over 23,000 comments to the
FDA in support of over-the-counter access to emergency
contraception (EC). The FDA has already found EC to be
safe and effective, and the FDA's own advisors
overwhelmingly recommended approving the application.

So what happened? On May 6, 2004 the FDA caved in to
right-wing pressure and denied the application. Will the
FDA do the right thing this time and help women prevent
unintended pregnancy? Or will politics prevail again?
Your voice matters: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20613

Here's how far this administration will go to put politics
before women's health and lives: The Department of Justice
has just released its first-ever medical guidelines for
treating sexual assault victims - and they have dropped
any reference to EC. Apparently, helping women who have
been raped isn't as important to the Bush administration
as pushing its own far-right ideology.

Please sign today to help make EC more accessible to
victims of sexual assault, and all women who need it:

2. Tell President Bush: Don't Take Away Our Health Care
Petition: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20615

According to a recent article in the Washington Post,
President Bush is considering simplifying the tax code by
cutting taxes for large corporations. His advisers are
quoted saying that he will pay for it by "scrapping the
business tax deduction for employer-provided
health insurance."

As more and more businesses are already finding it
difficult to afford the cost of providing coverage to
their employees, this short-sighted move would reward
companies that don't provide health care and punish those
that do!

Tell President Bush that eliminating this deduction would
result in more companies dropping the health care that
their employees depend on. Sign this petition to urge him
not to mess with the tax code by taking away our health
care: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20615

Instead of proposing ways to cut health care, President
Bush should be working on a plan that will ensure that
every man, woman and child in this country has access to
health care. The longer we wait to solve the health care
crisis, the worse it's going to get.

Please act today: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20615

3. Inauguration 2005: How Are You Marking the Day?

Some are protesting in the streets. Some are boycotting
businesses that profit from the war in Iraq. Some are
celebrating efforts to defeat Bush and are regrouping for
future elections. Some are celebrating Bush's election.

What are you doing? Talk about it: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20617

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has until tomorrow, January 20 to decide to allow over-the-counter sales of the morning-after pill, Plan B® (Otherwise known as an Abortificant). We've been here before: last year, Care2 members sent over 23,000 comments to the FDA in support of over-the-counter access to emergency contraception (EC).(Abortions) The FDA has already found EC to be safe and effective,(Absolutely not safe to the baby but very effective) and the FDA's own advisors overwhelmingly recommended approving the application.

So what happened? On May 6, 2004 the FDA caved in to right-wing pressure and denied the application. Will the FDA do the right thing this time and help women prevent unintended pregnancy? (Control yourself) Or will politics prevail again?

Watch how they turn their real agenda of "Abortion on Demand" into a caring, looking out for the victims of rape and incest debate:

Here's how far this administration will go to put politics before women's health and lives: The Department of Justice has just released its first-ever medical guidelines for treating sexual assault victims - and they have dropped any reference to EC (Lets use euphemisms for abortions). Apparently, helping women who have been raped isn't as important to the Bush administration as pushing its own far-right ideology.

Once again, innocent babies are paying with their lives for the mistakes or circumstances of others...Why punish the baby? This is the wacko left speaking just like Cameron Diaz's idiotic statement on Oprah regarding voting in the presidential election "We have a voice now, and we're not using it, and women have so much to lose. I mean, we could lose the right to our bodies. We could lo--if you think that rape should be legal, then don't vote."

Please sign today to help make EC (Abortions on demand) more accessible to victims of sexual assault, and all women who need it( translation: Any woman or girl of any age should be able to abort any child for any reason): http://www.care2.com/go/z/20613

Tell President Bush: Don't Take Away Our Health Care Petition: http://www.care2.com/go/z/2061 According to a recent article in the Washington Post, President Bush is considering simplifying the tax code by cutting taxes for large corporations. His advisers are quoted saying that he will pay for it by "scrapping the business tax deduction for employer-provided health insurance."

Duh, if the president is going to give corporations a break by lowering their burden, why will the corporations drop health care coverage? The reason why some businesses charge more for health care or drop it is because of the increased burden of the Federal, State and Local taxes reducing their bottom line.

As more and more businesses are already finding it difficult to afford the cost of providing coverage to their employees, this short-sighted move would reward companies that don't provide health care and punish those that do!

Tell President Bush that eliminating this deduction would result in more companies dropping the health care that their employees depend on. Sign this petition to urge him not to mess with the tax code (Democrat liberal agenda and pork ca$h cow) by taking away our health care: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20615

Instead of proposing ways to cut health care, President Bush should be working on a plan that will ensure that every man, woman and child in this country has access to health care.

They already do. Walk into any emergency room and take a look around at all of the uninsured people being treated by the mean corporate hospitals. I know in my state (NJ) it is against the law to refuse treatment to anyone regardless of their ability to pay

The longer we wait to solve the health care crisis, the worse it's going to get.

Please act today: http://www.care2.com/go/z/20615

Here's the call to Anarchy that the left loves so much

Some are protesting in the streets. Some are boycotting businesses that profit from the war in Iraq. Some are celebrating efforts to defeat Bush and are regrouping for future elections. Some are celebrating Bush's election.

More like most are celebrating Bush's election
