Somehow that hideous thing deserves something more than just an ordinary burning.
Maybe a liquid oxygen immolation? Less likely to leave disgusting residue.
. . . . that IS just about the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It's uglier than ANY felt banner that ever made an appearance at our church. Attributing it to fourth graders is an insult to their intelligence and artistic skills. . . .

Anyhow...the twelve days have grown stranger by the moment. As soon as I announced the winner of the "Nasty Chasuble Contest," my telephone began ringing off the hook, and a man arrived from town with a telegram. I fear that I have alienated a certain vestment-monger in Leicester, and I also have half of the Mother's Union from St. Dymphna's, Horsham after me for insinuating that their entry was not even good enough to publish! What a day!

It's Japanese actually, but iinteresting.
The original owner of the blog (The Rector) abandoned it a couple of years or so back. Somebody else took it over pretending to be The Rector (and failing) and then did something Swedish/Norwegian/Viking (I don't recall clearly) and it sat that way for a long time.
A pity really, because Fireside Chat was a real hoot. I frequently checked in to follow the saga. I'm just glad I was able to rescue the chasuble photos as well as the Fr. Jolly comics.
