I believe in the Creator and have no problems with the Biblical history as written.
For years now, I have been patiently waiting for any scientifically valid evidence of the "Intelligent Design" theory to be presented.
So far, the evidence presented has been Zero!
Actually, there is a rather simple experiment that can be conducted:
1) Isolate multiple samples of rapidly multiplying organisms into different environments.
2) If "Intelligent Design" is correct, each and every organism will develop exactly the same.
3) If these organisms develop differently, according to their environment, then the theory of "Intelligent Design" will be demonstrated to be false.
This is an extremely easy experiment to conduct, and can be reproduced by anyone around the world. It can also be conducted under "double blind" conditions, where the evaluator's have no idea what the experiment is about.
You don't need to do the experiment. The results have already been shown in speciation in the natural environment, or with bacteria response to different anti-biotics.
