The bishops and cardinals can't be part of the solution, since they stocked the seminaries with homos and took part in the pedophile coverup for decades. It's most likely they are homos themselves, by their very actions. The very disease can't cure itself. They need to go.

Sounds like the Lord of Taj Mahoney took deposition lessons from the Clintons.

Many of us in Los Angeles are embarrassed by this souless bureaucrat.

the last remaining symbol of influence, power and authority in the U.S. Catholic Church.

Not the way most of us think of Cardinal Mahony.

"Having sex is one way many found out whether the priesthood was the right calling for them."

So much simpler than honest discernment. Please do not tell us about the other 'ways'.

Well, it's interesting to know that Mahony did complete the deposition.

Feh! Mahony! PU! Like I put it on my FR home page, Mahony is the Chirac of the US Catholic Church! Just about as honest and trustworthy, just about as corrupt, and just about as useful.

What in the heck do they use as qualifications for appointing Cardinals, anyway?!?!?!? We could use a few St. John Vianney's in the Church, that's for sure.

He even denies knowledge of priests breaking their vow of celibacy until after the Second Vatican Counsel, in 1968.

I never knew that Cardinal Mahony was a traditionalist. I guess he believes everything bad was Vatican II's fault.

Although, he does act like a sedevacantist, i.e. there is no pope in office now.
