Emperor Joseph of Austria was quite the reformer -- closing monasteries right and left and "reforming" the Church as he sees fit. And I guess you like the Erastianism of the Eastern Orthodox Churches and the Anglican Churches as well. Yes, and particularly with the left in ascendant in Western nations -- yeah, that's a great idea -- let's wed the Church and the state. Just see for how many seconds it will take for the state to start restructuring the Church and telling it what to do -- bless same sex "marriages" and abortions. I bet you'll love people like Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero and John Kerry restructuring the Church under the union of Church and State under a modern Christian monarchy -- real practical folks you are, with practical solutions to protect the Church in the modern world, I must say!
