But there is no reason to elevate Mary. To additionally elevate Christ beyond her is pointless, as He and God are all that matter. Believing in Mary could never save a single person's soul, as all must go through Christ to be in heaven.

I agree that when we have had Judgment Day and made it to heaven that we will have life there. However, there is no support for such souls doing anything to pull people from hell for us or even to influence how God will judge us on Judgment Day aside from the common testimony all will have given for themselves and perhaps others. All of our sins will stand on their own as will all of our rewards and our acceptance of Christ. You cannot change that on my behalf then, as my life will speak for itself.

I honor your thoughts and am encouraged to read your unwavering loyalty to Christ.

Of politicians and statesmen, we elevate those like Ronald Reagan, Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington because of their accomplishments and disciplined character. Even should we scrub this list to find better, it's still appropriate to elevate such fine examples of human leadership and selfless service.

Of all humanity, we cannot honor Our Blessed Mother enough as she can only point to Christ, her Son, for worship. Leaning on her in devotion for spiritual guidance is a path to salvation. It's similar to leaning on the advice of Ronald Reagan to right most wrongs of our socialist prone modern society. St Mary is a living friend reunited with Christ in Heaven. Asking for her intercession is no less of an action than turning to a friend who's yet to experience death of the flesh.
