It's the kind of rhetoric that actually harms the traditionalist movement. It's no wonder that most bishops are compelled to keep traditionalists at arms length. The style alone reveals a malice that cannot be attributed to even a shadow of authentic Catholicism.

As if these bishops would have listened to him or any other of us.
If he grovelled and verbally kissed their proffered posteriors, it wouldn't make any difference. They have no concern about what the laity wants or what the Church has taught for the last 2000 years. They have their own agenda.
Statements like this cause me a feeling of deja vu. Where have I heard very similar sentiments? Oh yes -- it's when the NY Times is telling the Republican Party how to win more voters by being "nicer." Strictly for their own good, of course. Simply trying to be helpful. And I'm sure that Karl Rove pays close attention. Just like traditionalists pay equally close attention when apologists for the current depraved regime (refer to article above) offer us unsolicited advice.
It's no wonder that most bishops are compelled to keep traditionalists at arms length.
There is no mystery as to why the bishops wish to keep traditionalists at arms length. They have too much to hide. They only want to associate with those who are no threat to their continued evil and malfeasance.

Nothing can be achieved by being docile today. Those in authority have perfected the art of staying in power my all manner of ruses, lies and deceptions. Traditionalists must realise that any negotiation with bishops, progressive or conservative, will always be at the expense of the Catholic faith. Much better to see the new order sink deeper and deeper into the mire, choking on its humanisms, ecumenisms and depravities.
