Certainly I know about metaphor.

And therefore you realize that a metaphor requires interpretation and cannot be taken in a slavishly literal fashion.

Why you refuse to believe the metaphor is what escapes me.

What escapes you is an appreciation for the Bible as the authentic and complete word of God. You're apparently looking for other information. What do you need to know that is not in the Bible? Can you answer that?

It continues to be obvious

that you fail to have even as much as

0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001%

of a clue about my respect for; knowledge of; devotion to; understanding of; integration of . . . .

the written Word of God.

I suppose that's understandable given what seems to be an aversion as well to your knowing, listening to; respecting; understanding; discerning Holy Spirit's VOICE to you.

You have appeared to me to be the one

given to slavish fixations on literal written text meanings.

BTW,

I'm NOT per se looking for anything other than whatever

GOD SENDS MY WAY.

I have learned it's profitable to

AVOID IGNORING HIS LOVING COMMUNICATIONS.
