"Lehmann might have been stupid and misguided and yet not be an "abortion advocate"."

Lehmann was warned by numerous pro-life groups for several years of the grave immorality of his actions.
He even allegedly defied some Vatican officials who tried to talk some sense into him.
Yet, despite all of this, he was rewarded with a red hat, and will be voting in the next conclave - barring Divine intervention.

It was the Pope who told Lehmann to cease and desist, as you conveniently neglect to mention, since it does not fit into your agenda of trashing the Pope and the Catholic Church at every opportunity you get to build up parallel structures that are uncanonical, schismatic and partly heretical (since in practice you reject papal supremacy and the role of the Magisterium, which are part of the Deposit of Faith, and embrace private judgment, which is pure Protestant error).
