This current crop of Bishops they're inside the Church, aren't they? Yesterday at Mass our Priest spoke of Satan in the Church. By way of anaology he referenced that scene in the exorcist where Satan is finally driven out of the child's body and goes through the wall, leaving the word confusiion scrawled across that wall. Who are the true priests, who are the false ones? This stuff scares the bejeepers out of me.
Here in Rochester, the closing of several Catholic schools was announced over the weekend, and our local radio talk show guy addressed the issue. He said that by any measure you want to take, Catholicsm in the US is in broad retreat.
He's a Mormon (I think), and he spoke positively of the contributions of Catholics to the US, especially with the excellent schools they always maintained. So, he wasn't trying to denigrate the Faith at all.
I feel sick about this piece, and everytime I hear of a school closing it's as if I'm losing a personal belonging. I'm just sick about this, and when I'm not sick about it, I'm enraged. Some of these bishops must be in league with Satan to have laid our Church so low.
Outside the Church there is no salvation.
Don't let the devil or the apostates drive you away. Salvation is within the Church..somehow. Jesus will see to it.
I intend to be one of the 'remnant' that is spoken of in the Bible. My way of coping is to just give a nod to the modern Church and go on the way of tradition as best I can - within the Church.
Salvation doesn't even lie in the number of Catholic schools. I wouldn't even send my children to one.
Not a deep plan, but I will not be driven from the Church. Even a fallen Priest is still a Priest.
