I have no witty repartee for your post. You have said all I am unable to articulate.

I meditate at times to clear my head when I am in pain. I do not like taking drugs. Would my meditations be considered Buddhism? Is meditation in and of itself a strictly Buddhist practice?

No. God gave you an intellect to worship Him with, in Spirit and in Truth. I often meditate, but it is upon the Word of God, or upon such issues as AlamoGirl likes to discuss. Nothing wrong with that. However, those confused people who intentionally meditate upon dark subjects having to do with evil, or opening themselves up to evil, will find it. Ever notice how transcendentalism, so popular a few decades ago, never amounted to anything good?
