God let us pray for Syria.

Posted on 11/12/2004 9:10:14 PM PST by ednawlins

God let us pray for Syria.  Almighty God within us all hear our prayers.  God the nation of Syria is on the wrong side of Your love.  God give You blessing to Syria and let them with in the next few weeks give up their WMD.  Show the leader in Syria now is the time to do what Libya did with their WMD  God this we pray for.  God this we ask for with Your blessing  Thanks God.

Naw, let's just invade them and do to the House of Assad what we did to the House of Hussein.

I'll never, ever forget Beirut in '83 and what the Syrians did to my brothers. Never.

I'll pray for them alright. After they're dead.

The power of united prayers can be more powerful then the sword.  We can not take all the Houses of evil rulers over there out with just a sword.  We need God's blessing, grace and love.  The best way to take down each evil nation over there, is with prayers.  Let us pray that Assad see the light of God's love and give up his WMD now.    God within us all, this we pray for.

It's a good prayer. There's always hope that Syria will turn away from terrorism, like Libya [supposedly] has. I never thought I would ever see Libya do this.

I read somewhere, though, that according to some Bible prophetic interpretation, Damascus is going to become an uninhabitable mound of rubble. This is talking about "oldest continuously inhabited city in the world", according to a yahoo source on Damascus. This yet-unfulfilled prophecy is based on Isaiah 17:1 (KJV):

"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap."

I'm not saying I believe this, but it doesn't bode too well for the future of Syria, if it to be believed.
