It is a shame that you felt compelled to leave the Anglican tradition, however very understandable. I would not fault anyone for leaving.
My stance on the other hand is to stand and fight. There are a large population of Orthodox Anglicans in the US that feel the same way.
We just had council in the diocese of Texas and it appears to be moving more conservative. People are tired of the revisionist hijacking the faith.
Although our numbers have been in steady decline for many years, the population of conservative or Orthodox parishes are on the rise.
Just as every other denomination, the liberal revisionist are attacking traditional biblical teachings and subtly warping scripture in Sunday schools all across America.

I don't know how but I got on Spong's email list. The last email was beyond words, he explained why the virgin birth is just symbolic and that no one except a few people at places like Bob Jones University take it as literal history now. No wonder, Episcopal church is in decline.
