I guess that depends on how you define a "cult".

One place describes certain characteristics of the LRM:

Certainly some of these characteristics are unique to this branch of Christianity (if I can use that term). In 1949 the Assemblies of God (AOG) took a stand against the LRM. But like other sorts of false teaching, if you push it down in one area it just pops up in another. The disciples of the LRM are the modern-day "prophets" like Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, John Wimber, Paul Crouch, Kim Clement, and others, and can be seen in cult-like ministries such a the Holy Laughter revival of the so-called "Toronto Blessing".

While these modern-day "prophets" would like you to beleive they are "doing the Lrod's work" the fact is they are rogue individuals who have no official ministry within the church at large. Anybody can buy TV time or rent a hall and invite the unsuspecting to attend.
