Pray . . . a very conservative Lutheran denomination is holding a meeting in Seattle tonight.
They are meeting with Stateside representatives who've lived in the States a long time about how to manage things in an Asian country where a wonderful mission ministry is reaching out to the same tribe, there.
Trouble is, the US Stateside reps and some denominational types all think they know better than the troops on the ground how to do things there. And, they ar mucking it up royally and causing no end of bureaucratic hobbling and hindrances and outright exhaustion as well as deep discouragement to the Asian team.
The Asian team is finally an excellent Asian team working together well and interfacing with the host country's nationals as well as different tribal groups very well with great fruitfulness. The best the denominational types and Stateside tribal persons are likely to do is cause great hindrance, frustration, trouble, diminished effectiveness and perhaps serious illness and disillusionment if not exasperation and withdrawal on the part of some of the excellent workers in Asia.
I'm exceedingly dismayed. This denomination has mucked up Asian teams and their effectiveness before. They have been warned to not do it again. God is not amused.
Please pray that God has HIS way in tonight's meeting and in the situation.

There's a new book on that very subject but I can't recall the name or the author. Darn. This memory of mine.... but he says that Islam may possibly harbor the anti-christ. That the anti-christ would have to be someone they would listen to. I don't have a good grasp on what was actually said and wish I could remember the book. I may have it written down somewhere.
