Where does the soul come from at conception?

"Doesn't the bible say that God knew us before the foundations of the earth were laid? I looked for the reference and found several inferences, but I couldn't find the explicit reference that He knew us Before He made the earth... but I know I've heard that verse before."

Is this what you are thinking about?

Ephesians 1:4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

Could be... Psalms 139 is another.
VERY interesting question!... I hadn't considered it before.

Our sole is what defines our character... mind/will/emotion.
Our spirit is the vessel of the sole in the spiritual realm.
Our flesh is the vessel of the sole in the physical realm.
Since our spirit is eternal and our corrupted body mortal, the sole would naturally be limited to the only vessel left in existence once we die.... Thus... "It is appointed to man once to die, and then comes the judgement"

Our flesh is what is formed at conception... I believe our spirit is formed then too... But our sole?... This must be what God meant when He said He knew us before we were formed in the womb.
