However, in Revelations, John describes creatures coming out of the ground, from out of the abyss.
I could start another thread on this subject.
Whatever John saw in his vision/dream, there were a LOT of them.
"and they were as locusts"...in the Bible, "locusts" means a WHOLE LOT.
We could go in two directions at this point, regarding where they come from.
One direction must pre-suppose one major item: underground bases are real, and much larger than we could imagine.
The other direction is the supernatural, where the evil spirits inhabit the Earth.

These are just my opinions

The out of the earth and within the earth Scriptures have always troubled me.

In any case, it looks like our era shall find out more literally and specifically what's involved. Either option sounds like no fun, to me--except when we are kicking arse in The Lord's name and power against the forces of evil therefrom.

There was a prophecy before the Iraq war. It was a bit confusing--that God would really prefer that we not go into the war. But that it was kind of set-up that we would--whether by the puppet masters or satan or ??? I don't know. But the msg from God was that IF WE DID go into Iraq, there would be a release of massive hoards of demonic forces from within the earth in that region. Supposedly it related to ancient history of that region in terms of demonic forces etc. as well as things reserved for the end times.

Certainly plenty of evil has seemed to escalate since then.
