I can relate, when we went through inquirers class at St. Johns (our President's Church BTW)we were confirmed at the National Cathedral with about 40-50 others from various parishes. You've never seen so many, obvious to anyone, lesbian clergy "putting hands on" ritual to obvious to everyone lesbian new members. Then we had to listen to a sermon about "homophobia" from none other than "Bishop" Jane Dixon. You might remember her when she spoke about the same subject at the 2000 Democratic Convention.
I've told before that I grew up in Hinsdale didn't I? Did all my scouting there too, my old troop has since dissolved.
I didn't watch the Democratic Convention. I'm not on board with the current use of the word "homophobia", either. Certainly there are people out there with an unreasonable fear of homosexuals, but the word is used to describe not that but anyone who thinks there's anything wrong with homosexuality in any context whatsoever.
What was your Troop number? I'm in the same council Hinsdale is in.

As another poster indicated, Wicca has now publicly reared its ugly head in the mainstream Christian churches. Glenda and Bill Melnyck are practising Druidic witches. They profess a belief in the "Gnostic Christ", which is not Jesus.
Unfortunately, they are not the only Wiccans/Pagans who are ordained Christian ministers. They tend to hide in the mainline Protestant denominations - ECUSA, Lutheran, Methodist, UCC,etc. These churches either do not have - or have grown extremely lax in terms of training and hiring of ministers, and internal disciplinary proceedures.
I got out of the Episcopal Church 5 years ago, after having been a member for 55 years.
It is sad to see where they have gone.

The resources listed on our website are not approved liturgies of the Episcopal Church. These liturgies are intended to spark dialogue, study, conversation and ponderings around women and our liturgical tradition. There is quite a difference in presenting resources for people’s interest and enlightenment and promoting resources as official claims of the Episcopal Church. Only General Convention has this authority.

I believe you're correct. There's only two Troops sponsored by Episcopal parishes in the Council. Mine's one. I don't know the other, but I don't think it's Troop 9. I can check it out easily enough, though.

I understand the Episcopal Church pulling this from their website, but why would the Druid site who owns the copyright also pull this? Something doesn't smell right.

Point being, unless this so called eucharist was posted directly to the ECUSA website by Rev. Glyn/Glispa, nobody whose eyes it was before seemed to have or use anything like the biblical gift of discernment. This Asherah ritual's been up there since 10/8/2004, and didn't raise a red flag with anybody at the ECUSA?
Now that they're outed, it will be interesting to see if there are any repercussions for Glispa and Oakwyn. I'm guessing the wiccans doen't pay as well as the Episcopalians.

If I remember correctly it was called the West Suburban Council...I think it too is no longer in existence.
Use to go to camp up in northern Wisconsin, can't remember the name, I think it started with an "M". It's probably gone too.
