"EVENING OF REFLECTION for families of gay, bi-sexual and transgendered Catholics to share, reflect and celebrate."

Looks like a typical "diocesean program" at many an ECUSA "diocese" or "parish" - sadly, it looks like episcopaganism is alive and well (unfortunately) on both sides of the Tiber. I guess the "diocese" of Albany hasn't checked the CCC, much less the Baltimore Catechism or the Council of Trent. Don't find anything in any of them talking about such things being grounds for "sharing, reflecting" (much less "celebrating"). I suppose anyone suggesting that for such things an evening of prayer, intercession, and penance would be far more appropriate would be crucified as "mean, hateful, and insensitive." And the lavender agenda continues to be forced down people's throats. Heaven help us!

If I like a song from Man of la Mancha does that mean I am transgendered or bisexual?

Does this diocese support Courage and the call to chastity for those with same sex attraction disorder?

You are getting serious time off from Purgatory.

Nope.

This is the diocese of the notorious church destroyer Howard "Horror-Show" Hubbard - the tireless promoter of all things left, gay and heretical. When he brings scandal he does it right. Dead bodies, transgendered freaks, honey baked communion wafers... the works.

Lord, blast these evil men. Just cause them to spontaneously combust while delivering a heretical sermon, or while buggering a boy.

Rain down fire and death upon them, Lord. Put them out of our misery and send them to eternity with their master.

Trip them up so that their efforts to conceal their crimes fail. Deliver them into the hands of good men, and keep innocent youngsters out of their perverted grasp.

Open the eyes of the deluded so that all may see these men for what they are. Make us all sensitive to the "plausible deniability" that such men have used to such strong effect.

Take the scales from the eyes of the "useful idiots," and bring them back to knowledge of your Revelation.

O Jesus, our great High Priest,
hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priests.
Give them a deep faith, a bright and firm hope, and a burning love
which will ever increase in the course of their priestly life.
In their loneliness, comfort them.
In their sorrows, strengthen them.
In their frustrations, point out to them that it is through suffering
that the soul is purified,
and show them that they are needed by the Church
they are needed by souls
they are needed for the work of redemption. Amen.
O Loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests,
take to your heart your sons who are close to you
because of their priestly ordination
and because of the power which they have received
to carry on the work of Christ
in a world which needs them so much.
Be their comfort, be their joy, be their strength,
and especially help them to live and to defend
the ideals of consecrated celibacy. Amen.

Oremus pro Beatissimo Papa nostro Joanno Paulo.
Dominus conservet eum, et vivificet eum, et beatum faciat eum in terra, et non tradat eum in animam inimicorum ejus.

What part of "intrinsically disordered" and "grave depravity" do these buttheads not understand?

I dunno bornacatholic, but apparently, YOUR FAMILY better not seek solace from within the Catholic Faith (based upon what I see in this thread).  When I consider the crosses that people bear, I'd imagine a sexually-disoriented child (and all the many adjectives that sadly and sinfully follow) would be quite hurtful to parents.  Love is what heals... crazy to think people'd turn to their Faith for that I guess?

Dunno 'bout you ...

But I turn to God for Mercy and Forgiveness when I've sinned ... and for Grace to overcome future temptations to sin. "Sharing, reflecting, and celebrating" disordered desires, temptations to future sin, and lifestyles dedicated to the furtherance of sin doesn't seem to me what the Church is all about.

That is the beauty of Faith A.B., I agree with you.

Does the 'article' not say "...families of..."?  Therein lies the basis for my comments.

Pax et bonum.

I still wonder what's being "celebrated". Do we "celebrate" family members who are bank robbers? murderers? shacked-up? Thrice-married-twice-divorced-never-annulled? abortionists? prostitutes? Why then celebrate sodomites?

We might rightly celebrate those who by the Grace of god repent, and abandon intrinsically disordered lifestyles. Indeed, there's more rejoicing in Heaven over the repentance of one such thant over 99 who have no need of repentance.

You're right.  We're looking at this article from different sides A.B.  Perhaps your perspective is correct; that puts me back to my very first words, I dunno... My perspective was that the gathering was for FAMILIES, perhaps those who were able to carry their cross by the Grace of God, and there's celebration and thanksgiving for that, as well as an opportunity to share their Hope with other families 'afflicted' by the sins of their fallen family members.

Pax.
