A worthy read, but there are some things I would have to question Fr. Mole on.

For example, in the 3 examples he gives in his "Polemon or Peace" section, trying to display that the "peaceful" way of resolution is better than fighting like the SSPX, all 3 involve someone fighting to achieve the eventual overturn of the Bishop's injustice.

The women trying to kneel didn't peacefully stand up at the beckoning of the Bishop, they knelt, and fought the arrest all the way to the supreme court.

The people in Alabama fought the Bishop's attempt to ban the ad orientem orientation of the priest, they didn't simply turn around.

The most obvious is the priest who took to flying around saying the traditional mass. How is this action any different than that of the SSPX priests? He was clearly fighting what the Bishop was trying to force on his diocese, and in doing so he won.

I would also love to hear what he would have to say about the FSSP situation now that the cards have been played and it wasn't the traditional priests who came out ahead as it appeared to have happened at the time of his writing.

Overall, he seems to stand in the position that JPII is trying his heart out to help the traditional cause, and that the bishops simply won't accept it. He doesn't seem to acknowledge that 1) JPII placed these men in places of power, and 2) he doesn't need the Bishops to accept anything, he can simply take a stand for the truth and they can live with it or be removed.

Again, I think the article has a lot of merit, but I don't think sitting back into a passive role is going to bring back tradition at this point.
