Hello ultima, I haven't seen you around; hopefully there's a
good reason for that. I believe you're a little too 'pingy' on your reply because Salvation was my ping soley for a 'thank you' for her daily readings thread(s); not because she was inclined to join the thread. :-)
....St. Paul to the Galatians 1:6-9. ....
You are listening to a new Gospel. It is not the traditional Catholic faith.
I am sorry that your assertion about
new Gospel is hollow and makes no sense. Further to it, I fail to see how Galatians is pertinent to my comment about the Mystical Body of Christ's unity and St. Paul's verse I posted earlier today.
"Sacred Scripture must be read and interpreted in the light of the same Spirit by whom it was written"(CCC 111; cf. Dei Verbum 12). The greatest gifts of intellect, expertise in biblical languages, etc., although of great value, account for nothing ultimately if the person is not filled with the same Holy Spirit who inspired Sacred Scripture in the first place. The acid test of whether or not a person in fact is operating in the Holy Spirit is humility. If one is humble one has the desire and the true freedom of will to obey legitimate Church authority. One who does not have this essential virtue of humility will ultimately rebel against the authentic and authoritative teaching of the Magisterium of the Church--the only legitimate interpreter ultimately of God's Word, whether written or passed on in the oral form of Sacred Tradition.
Divine Revelation - Part Two
It cannot be--nor will it be. Not even an angel from Heaven, let alone a pope or a bishop, can change the faith nor substitute another faith for the traditional one by thrusting novelties upon the rest of us. Such men must be resisted.
You'd have me and other practicing, obedient, faithful Catholics (non-SSPX apologetists) believe that these 'men' are thrusting disunity (read un-truth), and error upon the faithful. Even though we haven't 'run into one another' ultima, some things haven't changed -- I'm with Father Corapi (author of the above), and JPII, and firmly planted in my Catholicism. And you? Well, I guess I'm not seeing things
your way.
Pax et bonum.
"I'm with Father Corapi (author of the above), and JPII, and firmly planted in my Catholicism."
JPII just gave his blessing, approval and applause to a bunch of liberal socialists, syncretists, humanists and new age spiritualists.
Zenit is where you can see the proof that he in fact gave them his approval.
This is where you can see that his approval was given to people who are actually a bunch of liberal humanists, syncretists and socialists, and new age spriritualists.
Alright, so he's with these people, you're with him. So I suppose one could conclude that you're with... dang, I lost my train of thought.
Now I'm pretty sure you're not with the liberal humanists, syncretists, socialists, and new age spiritualists. So then, how would you explain this little predicament? It's going to take a little more than attitude to sort this one out.
