Went to mass this a.m. with the kids at the Catholic school. In his homily, the priest announced that today was a very important Catholic feast and asked the youngsters if they knew what feast day it was. One (prompted by a teacher, I'll bet) said, "The Nativity of Mary." Oh no, said the priest, it's the Immaculate Conception. He then went on to explain original sin and so on. This was a young priest, ordained only a few months ago.
Yikes! Already in need of a refresher course.
