Greetings ET.
Greetings ET.
Hi there Invincible, good to see you!
I believe that it comes from Christ telling the Pharisees that their father is the devil and following that remark, a misunderstanding of scripture. Just this thread alone has left me postless, quite a feat.
I thought it was Arthur Murray?
LOL, that was his teacher
Arthur is the dance guy.
You have also overlooked the fact that Abraham is also the father of the Arab nations, and therefore if what you say is true, then Abraham would have to be descended from the devil which is ludicrous.
It's too much like Anakin's "midichlorians in the blood" for me.
"Neither shall you touch it" - v'lo tig'u. In #254 you mentioned 'naga(touch)' meant to "lie with a woman". That brings up some interesting questions. Was Eve saying she was commanded not to lie with a woman? Was Satan a woman? If Satan was a woman, how did two women conceive?
In actuality, this statement by Chawah(Eve) was not part of the commandment given by YHWH. Eve had added this to the commandment. The same verb is used of Mount Sinai when YHWH warns Moses not to let the people 'touch' the mountain. Do you suppose that YHWH is warning the people not to lie sexually with the mountain as with a woman?
Yes, I know trees are often symbolic of people. So are many other things. I have seen no one here insist on so literal a definition as an apple. The "tree of life" here is symbolic of Torah, that is doing things according to the instruction and wisdom of YHWH. The "tree of knowledge" is symbolic of choosing ones own ways, i.e. making ones self their own god.
Genesis 4:19 And Lamech took unto him two wives; the name of one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
Here, Lamech, of the seed of Cain, takes two wives, daughters of the lineage of the seed of Seth. So already, we can see how intermarriage begins to play into things.
Note that I don't doubt you that the seed of Kayin(Cain) did survive the flood. The wives of Noah's sons could well have been of Cain's lineage. Maybe even Noah's wife for all we know. I won't argue the point that angels(malakim) could take on human form and possibly procreate. That's another discussion completely. I am only saying that the text of Genesis 4:1 does not lend itself to the interpretation of a literal satanic seed. BTW, the Hebrew word for seed is not SPER-MA, it's 'zera'.
I will repeat what I said before, the sons shall not be held responsible for the sins of their fathers. They may inherit curses from their fathers, but curses are the by-product of sin, not the sin itself, and curses can be broken.
Blessings
That's what's so perposturous about the ill-fated conjecturous crappola! Injecting symbolism when there is no need too. If satan and Eve had Cain why even write Gen 4:1?
If nothing else it would be totally contradictive to the story! I mean all Repub32 did was try to separate the verse which in itself, is so ridiculous it's not even funny!
