Mrs. Adams,
I just this morning heard of Arlin's passing (via a forwarded email, not via FreeRepublic).
Although I never met Arlin in person, I counted him as a friend not only here but through other circles as well. There were times when we exchanged personal correspondence, and he always seemed to be both a kind and interesting person.
I am glad he is free from pain, but sad that he's gone. My prayers are with you and your family.
I send my prayers for you and yours. May God grant you strength and His peace to manage through this difficult time. Be reminded of His love for you. John 3:16, Isaiah 29:11. God bless and keep you all.
My prayers are with you.
As are ours.
It is a sad time for all of us who have come to know, respect, and count as our friend, Arlin Adams. The Lord certainly smiled on you when he gave you Arlin to be your husband.
Arlin was such a dependable source of information last year during the trying times of the ECUSA convention and the subsequent ordination of Gene Robinson. His responses were always reasoned and he was always the gentleman. Later, when some of us in my town started our own new Anglican congregation, his words of hope and encouragement were so welcome.
He will truly be missed here. I look forward to meeting him face to face one day. God bless you and your family.
Such terrible news ... I am so sorry.
His sudden death is a shock but I am also taken aback to find he was in such chronic pain. He was always of such good cheer.
You and your family and the others who loved him and were fond of him will be in my prayers. It was a pleasure always to be on his ping list -- I appreciated very much his patient explanations to a Catholic Ringer like me -- and the forum is a little less now for his absence.
May he rest in peace.
Sorry for your loss.
State ping.
I'm shocked and sad to hear about Arlin. He was so kind and positive. God bless all of you.

My husband Arlin Adams died 9/3/04 of a heart attack. He was okay at 1:00 p.m. when his American Legion commander stopped by to see Arlin at our home. I tried to call him at 3:00 when I left work and there was no answer, got home at 4:00 and he was already gone from this earthly life, with our three dogs faithfully by him, dogs that were his daily companions while I was at work.
Over two decades ago while on a training exercise with the US Army, Arlin had suffered an injury to his lower back and leg which left him with chronic pain. I admire how bravely he dealt with the extreme pain which was a part of his daily life; I am glad he is now free from that pain.
Arlin's trust and faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ and he had received forgiveness of sins and had accepted the Lord's free gift of eternal life, so he is with the Lord now.
Peace,
Sharon Adams

Hi I'm sorry to bother you, but it looks like I better get off the homosexual agenda ping list for a while - not that y'all aren't doing a good job, but it's just with all the Anglican stuff going on I don't have time to deal with much else right now.
Thanks,
ahadams2
You've been on my mind today, Mrs. Adams---I hope you're doing well.
Arlin will be sorely missed around here and it will not be the same at FR without him.
You and your family are in my prayers. Thank you for the ping as I was unaware of his passing.

Amen.
My very best to you, Sharon. Talking with us here will help you grieve. Whatever it is you need to do or not do, God is holding you very close at this time. God bless Arlin's soul in Heaven.
Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love.
