I have a small nursery where I propagate pachysandra, a perennial groundcover. I have a great over-abundance of my plants, as I've been doing this for over 30 years.
Presently, I would like to get together with all the churches in my area in an effort to teach the value of plant propagation and an understanding of nature and the soil to young people (or the older folks too).
I am about to begin to send letters and emails out to all the churches, but I need some help. Not being an expert at all about the words of the Bible (although I have tried to live by 'The Golden Rule' always), I am interested in learning if there are passages in the Bible that may deal with these types of things. I'm sure there are a number of offerings in the Bible on these values, but I don't know of them.
Can anyone help me. The children certainly can be helped by getting closer to the earth and understanding the value of nurturing plants and seeing the results of that care and nurturing. They will see how beginning with a little, with care, they can end with a bountiful plenty.
I want to get this started as I believe our younger people must be kept close to the valuable things in life.
Thanks for any help!
ping..........I'd like to offer these plants to churches to help them teach the young the value of an understanding and respect for the soil and plant care.
